Avoid doing business with Danny Gove Pro Landscape Services Bryan, TX
I hired him to install a waterfall/pond in my backyard.
He collected the final half payment from my wife when I was out of town.
When I returned, I found a non functioning waterfall powered by a buried extension cord plugged into my outside house outlet. This is a very dangerous electrical installation.
In his response to my BBB complaint he stated an extension cord is perfectly safe when plugged into a GFCI outlet. Notice in the picture above that he removed the ground prong from the extension cord plug. I’m not an electrician but I believe doing that negates the GFCI protection.
He charged me for a UV light. It was never installed.
He told me my only maintenance would be cleaning a filter once every six months. To my surprise he didn’t install a timer for running the waterfall or self water filling valve to make it maintenance free. When I pointed out what was missing, he agreed to install. He never did.
I agreed to hire him if he also installed my electronic pet fence. This is a picture of the uninstalled pet fence.
Every time I called, his response was that his crew told him they did that. Then he just started ignoring my phone calls. I sent him a registered letter. He refused delivery. I also hired him to fix my sprinkler system. He deducted the $199.18 from my first payment for the waterfall even though I paid him for the sprinkler service with a separate check. He said he would return my $199.18 over payment. He never did.
Now 5 months after he was paid in full, I have a non-functioning waterfall with a green pond.
This guy presents himself as an honest businessman. Nothing could be further from the truth. I filed a complaint with the BBB and his response was one lie after another. Don’t make the same mistake I did, steer clear of Danny Gove. He will also likely change his company name again but he is still Danny Gove.
Update 1: Thanks to my BBB report Danny Gove decided to try and make this waterfall functional. Now over 2 months after his attempts, I still have a non-functional waterfall.
Update 2: It’s now been almost a year. I gave up on getting Danny Gove to do anything. No matter what he does it’s half ass.
The UV system he installed never lasted past a good rain because he buried the transformer below ground level and it would always end up burning out after shorting out. His last trip here he took the entire broken UV system including the UV bulb. I ended up having to buy and install the whole UV system including the bulb. I had to buy and install a large plastic box to put the UV transformer in. I had to replace the float valve with a float valve I bought from the catch basin manufacturer.
Now as you see above the waterfall has fallen apart. The rocks you see along the rubber liner I stacked there. I had to move my fish and drain the pond. So far 6 fish have died.
I have to hire someone to mortar the stones.
Until other half ass work done by Danny Gove falls apart, I finally have a functioning waterfall/pond almost a year later. Many thanks to Puma for their great work in repairing the stone work.
If you need any stone work done, I recommend you contact Jose Gonzales @ 979-571-7714. None of his work was half ass.
Look Out Brazos valley Danny Gove is now in the Automotive restoration business. I guess he is looking for a new way to take advantage of more people.
I can guarantee that Danny Gove will handle his auto restoration business the same as his landscape business. How can you go from landscaping to auto restoration? I would hate to be his next customer.
We have delt with him and his wife before.. She’s just as bad as he is.. My yard died after his “guarenteed” installment.. My sprinkler system never worked and his word means nothing to anyone I know.. Auto Restoration huh?? Well we know there will be alot of broken down old cars on the road.. Look out Bryan/College Station.. The Goves are on the loose again..

Danny Gove did a Belgard patio and landscaping for me. I had a big drainage issue but more importantly, he would not return my phone calls. After leaving him 11 messages I took him to small claims court and won a judgement against him. DON’T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS CON-ARTIST!
Well I tried Danny Gove’s restoration business, Brazos Valley Auto Restorations. I should have done some research on him first. I ended up taking my car out of his shop after he screwed me. I gave him a complete car and ended up with a boxes of parts and a rusty shell of a car. DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN.
He couldn’t mow grass, what makes him think he could “restore” cars.
I took my truck to Brazos Valley auto restorations and after a year and several thousand dollars my truck was worse off than when it came in I tried calling him and e- mailing him I could get no response the truck was all cut up and no work was being done so I had to pick up my truck in hundreds of pieces and I did never get them all they could not find them but of course danny was no where to be seen. On time on budget my butt! Watch out for him he will take your deposit and run
hello i am using my real name because i hope that piece of shit danny gove sees this. i used to work for him at brazos valley auto restorations. i was the metal fabricator. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE!!! i can tell u first hand that every thing that is done to your car or truck is half assed and u will not only be charger $60/hr shop time u will be charged $60/hr or more for every person that works on it. so if 2 people work on it for 1 hour in a day u will be charger $120 for that hour. he is a con artist and he WILL screw u if u go to him. thats a 100% guarantee. his shop is not up to osha standard and is illegal and he doesnt pay taxes and pays his employees cash under the table. i have reported him to the IRS, OSHA, and the city of Bryan. i am trying to get him shut down and put in jail for tax fraud for everything he has done to me and past clients. Take this warning seriously DO NOT TRUST DANNY GOVE.
I met Jeramy Ware once at Danny’s shop and can tell you that he is nothing more than a disgruntled former employee. His comments border on liable and are just wrong. Danny restored my 1965 Ford Mustang and I have to say that it has won a couple of car shows. Not bad for someone who doesn’t know what he is doing. As to money, the price Danny charged was unfair, to him. He didn’t charge near enough for the work done. Trust Danny Gove not Jeramy Ware.
Totally agree with all of the stories above except the last one. Danny Gove took my car as fast as he could and tore it apart as fast as he could. The original price he quoted quadrupled in price after that. I, like others had to pick up my car in pieces. Paid extra for him to put it together enough for me to be able to pick it up and get it out of there. I caught him in several lies. He has no conscience and he is a scam artist! NEVER do business with him! It is a VERY expensive lesson to learn. He took me for several thousand dollars and I walked away with a lot of my car in boxes. When I asked other restoration people in town about him they all shook their heads. Please learn from my mistake!
